Letter from Marla
Thank you! We did it!
The past year has been an incredible experience that I have cherished. I am humbled by the
stories that have been shared with me as I have spoken to so many of you and voters across the
district. We all want a new direction for our community, one that points us to a future in which
everyone has a good job, new business seeks us out for our excellent location and stellar
workforce. Most of all, we want a future in which we don’t have to say goodbye to our children
and grandchildren because they had to leave town in search of careers.
As your new state legislator, I am thankful to be trusted with this opportunity to give back to
my community in this way. I look forward to serving you in the State House.
We have everything we need to make Lawrence County the powerhouse it once was – and will
be again.
I plan to listen, learn, and lead by example. I’ve have pledged to turn down the perks that
became such an issue in this district. I intend to make certain our citizens have the best
constituent service possible.
I am thankful to God for guiding me through this campaign and the voters entrusting me with
this huge responsibility, and I pledge to live up to my promises.
